VISION

The goals that I have in my future are:

Business:

1) I would like to become a top level executive in a firm: I work as an accounting manager in my company but my company has been aquired by another firm. This has happened to me twice and I would like to be in a position where I am not worried for bread and butter for my family.
2) Real estate residual income: I would like to buy atleast 2 properties which will fetch me residual income so that I can capitalize on my assets.
3) Consulting Business: I would like to be my own boss at one point and manage my time and resources myself. Having 3 or more big clients will help me maintain work life balance as well as make good money.

Personal:

1) Top education from an accredited university.
2) CPA, CMA and CTP certifications.
3) Giving top education to my kids and making them great professionals.
4) Paying my house loan 100%

Steps taken to achieve these goals:

1) I am going to school to finish my undergraduate from this country even though I have an undergraduate from my school so that I can get CPA, CMA and CTP certified.
2) I am going to try to get admission in the wharton MBA program so that I can rise to a top exceutive within a firm. I am also working extremely hard as I am managing 2 kids, husband, full time job, full time school at the same time. Even after doing multiple things, my GPA is 3.81 and am hoping to graduate with 3.85(this is my last semester) so that I can apply for Wharton.
3) I am on top of my kids education and they are doing great in school.
4) I have already managed to get few small clients so that this would give me a base for my future consulting career.

Wow, it seems like you have already accomplished a lot in your life and have realized perhaps many of your visions from the past. I work in the real estate field and definitely encourage you to get involved with some sort of manageable income producing property. It is a lot of hard work, but the investment benefits can be incredible. Real Estate is an incredible way to build wealth in this country, and if you can use it to make money from, more power to you.

It really looks like you are on top of everything. You know exactly what you want, how you’re going to do it, all while keeping a high GPA and raising a family. I really hope you keep working towards your goal of being a high level executive. With your qualifications and career goals, I think you would do a great job.

I am happy to see that you seem to have a clear vision and a plan how to reach your goal.

I know how hard it is to juggle everything as I am a single mother with a full time job going to school full time.

Just follow your road map and you will get there. Businessworld could use a few strong goal oriented women like you!

Well it seems that you have everything under control..!!! i would suggess you to focus on being your own boss cause that would lead you to all the previous positions stated and pluss it would give you the financial flexibility to buy the properties that you want. Good luck with everything!!

I'm really impressed by your methodical and oragnized plan. It is no wonder that you have achieved so much. I give you full kudos for being able to juggle so much while studying. I'm not so confident that I would be able to handle the stress.
The Wharton Business school vision is defintely a great idea. Gradutes of the top business programs are able to command much respect in the industry. It will surely do wonders for your career and more importantly you will get the opportunity to build key relationships while you are there.
